Maya Angelou once said, "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you." At Live Well Therapy, our mental health therapy for adults offers a safe space to share your story — honestly, courageously, and without judgment. Many adults carry unspoken pain, unresolved grief, or relationship patterns that no longer serve them. Through our trauma-informed therapy approach, we focus on helping you understand those experiences, process them with compassion, and move toward healing, connection, and purpose. Relationship counseling isn't about "fixing" you — it’s about creating the space to understand yourself more fully, strengthen your relationships, and develop tools to navigate life with greater clarity and emotional safety.
We use an integrative, trauma-informed therapy approach tailored to each individual. Depending on your needs, our mental health therapy may incorporate the following modalities:
Attachment-Based Therapy
Helps you understand how early relationships shape connection, trust, and emotional safety — while creating a secure, supportive therapeutic relationship where healing can occur.
Polyvagal-Informed Therapy
Supports the regulation of the nervous system by teaching skills to calm stress and trauma responses, increase emotional awareness, and restore a sense of safety in the body.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Explores the different 'parts' of yourself that show up in daily life — including those connected to protection, fear, or unwanted behaviors — with the goal of greater self-understanding and internal balance.
Story Work
Invites reflection on life experiences, core themes, and relationships, supporting your journey in relationship counseling to help uncover meaning, purpose, and personal strengths — even in the midst of hardship.
